- Full restoration — re-grind to flat, fill cracks and pin holes with colour-matched epoxy, re-polish to spec gloss (heavy wear or damaged floors)

A few practical notes from real marble flooring jobs:
- Vein direction matters — long rooms read best with veins running long; squarer rooms read best with veins centred.
- Don't fight the natural variation — book-matched slabs are dramatic; tile-format marble looks best when the variation is randomised, not clustered.
- Light colour shows dust, dark colour shows dust differently — both need maintenance, just different.
- Large format minimises grout — but means heavier slabs, slower install, and more careful subfloor prep.
- Avoid pure white in entryways — high-traffic areas etch fastest. Use warm whites or off-whites at entries and pure white in private rooms.
